No flatbed ford in the pic... :)
Such a fine sight to see.
Ha! You beat me to it!
A few years back I stopped to see it, had breakfast across the way where I could see the park. A lot of people who looked my age stopped to see it.... My wife says the music is ageless and the park will still be there in 50 years... I wonder.
Hey Irish, reflection in the window...
Going to be there tomorrow, with my 12 yo son, so that in 50 years there are people to visit the park...
My wife and I were there when they were re-working the streets with the brickwork 6 or 7 years ago. I had a contract I had finished out in California and I few my wife out and we did a Route 66 vacation from Barstow to Oklahoma with a couple of detours along the way.
Damn, Tony, you should have kept going ;-). (My wife was born in Ada.) I have been through Winslow about a half-dozen times, but the last time was in 1980. I don't recall seeing the statue back then, but perhaps I just missed it. IIRC, that street was/is one-way, and I may have been on the next street over, going the other way. My grandfather, who lived in Phoenix was sick, and we were in a hurry to get down there to see him.
