Not to be a dick, but Lee Marvin's grave and headstone were likely selected by his family, NOT HIM. My father in law NEVER wanted to be remembered for his service in WW2 - NEVER - but for some reason, in the heat of the emotional situation (and because I think she was very worried about her money situation going forward), his wife took advantage of the free grave in the veteran's area of the cemetery and his headstone mentions his service too. Just saying. That headstone looks VERY "veteran."
