I believe that the military spec for both rifles is 4 moa. I will grant that the AR is a device of tighter tolerances and should b more accurate. But on the dirty battlefield, loose tolerances can be a good thing. I have actually fixed an AK with a stick and a rock.
With my AK I was happy when I got all 30 rounds on the silhouette at 100 yards.
