Ah yes. Your complaint takes me back to the heady days of cable tv and hbo. Advertising was used to pay for the quality programs which in turn got you to watch the ads. Then came cable tv and you paid a fee so you didn't have to watch the ads. How long did that last, right? Every new service and 'improvement' is just another venue for more advertising. Can't even watch a two minute clip on msm without an ad. Get used to it BD, or else cut the cables and internet, and get a dog, some whiskey and a firepit. -lg
My solution was to 'record' the programs offered and fast forward through the commercials. If I am forced to watch a commercial, I shut it off and don't watch that show/program. If that feature goes away, I will stop the service.
Raise the black. Cancel your streaming services, get qbittorrent, and pirate anything you want to watch. The deal with the streaming services was pay a subscription every month and you wouldn't have to watch ads. They went back on their side of the deal; no reason for you to uphold yours.
My solution is that instead of using just the tv I run everything through my pc (linked to the tv with an hdmi cable). Services are accessed via secure browser and an ad blocker (had pretty good success with Brave). Also linked a game controller to the pc so no different than accessing shows through a gaming console.
advertising is the scourge of society, all bullshit....now with a rainbow (or chocolate) twist

ReplyDeleteI've quit mid video of some pretty interesting stuff and never revisited because of their over monetization of their videos...fuck them...
DeleteThe internet might have a way or two of bypassing this nonsense.
ReplyDeleteIm just waiting for the movement to cancel on the same day. ( even if everyone resubscribes the next day. ) just to send a message...
