I stood on yellow foot prints Dec 1977 in what seems like another lifetime. That journey ended Jan 2002 and the new crop of butter bars still wet behind the ears are the ones in charge now and it shows.
39 Years ago June 11th, reported to the MEPS in Newark, NJ then flew to RTC San Diego. Enjoyed my time and served with some great guys, but I punched out at 13 years. It was time to move on.
LPD. Which one? I was on Trenton in the early 90’s. Old engineering officer here. 1200 pound EOOW on DDG-31 and FF-1066, DCA on CV-64. Stayed until they threw me out for being too old. Miss it still. Glad to see you’re up and back transmitting on the 2JV.
49 years ago on the late evening of 27 June, my journey started on the yellow footprints at MCRD, San Diego. Ended on 30 June, 1994.
