We were on a camping trip with our parents and my brother and I rode back home with a family friend through the mountains of Idaho in one of these jeeps. Loud and noisy, uncomfortable, interior all metal with zero padding and it tossed you around continually swerving from potholes. It was a long trip over rough roads, I was 8 years old riding on the center hump and decided then to never own a jeep and I kept that promise.
I guess that I am luck in the fact the I never wanted one of those fugly mothers.
ReplyDeleteThere's one just outside of Eau Claire, WI. Dunno if it's for sale or not but it's been sitting for years.

ReplyDeleteI had a early 60's Econoline van, the GF liked to sit on the doghouse next to me. Good times!
