8yrs if you coddle it. My last one lasted less than 6mo before it quit doing it's thing. I now swear by the TAL brand (TALHydration, com), selling a crap-ton for the engraving business. Shoot me over an address and what you'd want engraved on it (logo's included), and I'll have it in the mail by the weekend. I have a 50oz TAL Everett in dark green waiting for you. millerized gmail com
I don't know about the new ones. In 1980, my then girl friend (my wife since 83) gave me one and a Little Oscar cooler for lunch at work. Still have both. I quit carrying the thermos daily in the late 90's. It was still working fine, I changed. I still use the same Little Oscar every day.
Never get a "Stanley", not quality for many years. Purchase a "Thermos" brand, yes also chinese made BUT to Canadian standards. I've used mine daily for around 20 years (retired now).
What. I have one that is 80 years old that still works just fine
ReplyDeleteI had one of those. my current one never dropped, shitty tac welds on the handle steel and coffee is cold after five hours...
ReplyDeleteIt’s that new Chinese shit that we are all forced to buy

DeleteI have had mine for over twenty years and it keeps coffee hot. I don't use it every day, only when I go fishing now.
ReplyDeleteMy dad had one that he took to work every day for 30 years. Any coffee left at the end of the day was still hot.
ReplyDeleteMine is a 50s model.

DeleteI have a 40 year old one somewhere around here, I replaced the glass inner liner a long time ago.
