  2. If Epstein was an 'asset', I can easily see how this story gets buried, even now. There are people that really are capable of annihilating the earth and would choose that over the public humiliation that would result from it all coming to light.

  4. A couple of possibilities here, none of them good...
    Possibility one, reviewing the evidence will reveal corruption so absolute that it will plunge the entire world into anarchy (world leaders other than Prince Andrew, senators/ congress critters, justices, governors both Ds and Rs, etc.)
    Possibility two, these guys now realize that they can protect their shitty R colleagues while gaining leverage over their D adversaries...

    My guess is that this whole thing is a system of control over anyone that wants to rise above being a back-bencher, in other words, anyone who is a committee chair, or other leadership position has had to submit themselves to this process in exchange for the position.
