delusional asshat of the day

(Politico) — Robert Gibbs says President Barack Obama’s main concern isn’t his own job — but the jobs of the American people.
“The president’s not worried about his job — he’s worried about creating jobs for millions or American who have been out of work for six months, two years or longer,” the former White House press secretary said Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “I think the president hopes that when Congress gets back into town, that they’ll act on some initiatives that we all know makes sense and can hopefully help businesses hire more people again.”
Gibbs told NBC’s Savannah Guthrie that even though Obama entered the White House in one of the “worst recorded periods of economic growth on our history books,” he still managed to bring “a huge change in the growth of our economy” during his first year at the White House.
“The question, Savannah, is: Is there going to be a partner that can work with the president?” Gibbs said.
Asked whether he believes Obama will have a one-term presidency, Gibbs answered: “The president is the president of the United States. He understands that he has responsibilities.”
“The president’s going to fight for exactly what he believes is best for the economy,” he added.
