Just shy of 52 years ago, 27June 1974, a scrawny boy from Arkansas stood on the yellow foot prints at MCRD San Diego, CA. 20 years later, he took off that uniform but never lost what was instilled in him those first three months. Thank you for your service. Mine was an honor to serve.

ReplyDeleteI was there 40 years ago, that picture is deceptive, it makes the place look pleasant. It was a dump.
