Early 80’s (before anyone cared) --> sitting on the approach path to Luke AFB, saw an F15 spooling up to do a max climb. Once full afterburners were fully lit up, he started rolling and was out of sight of my binoculars in 20 seconds! Was one of the most impressive displays of machinery I’ve ever seen.
