These remind me of a resort called "Railroad Park" a little bit south of Mt. Shasta, California (actually down at Castle Crags). Last time I was there, there were about a dozen cabooses set up on sections of track, all remodeled into very nice hotel-style rooms. There was also a pool, hot tub, and a restaurant made from two dining cars connected together. Vey nicely done, and the food was excellent. Stayed there during the winter, but the hot tub was still fun.
