That was the assassination point, but truly these worthless nations were looking for ANY EXCUSE to kick off a major war....kind of like today. It was USED to justify what came next, but like the Lusitania lies, the intent to be part of a major conflict was already written into the future by those looking to profit, destroy Europe on behalf of the Bolsheviks, etc.
