It's tragic, but the civilization that made those golden years possible, and the people who built that civilization, are no more. Sic transit gloria mundi.
And it has always been true that you can't step in the same river twice.
But we were there, we have the memories, the scars, the broken hearts, the faded photographs, and the stories. And we still have the music. It's so good that even my teenagers listen to it now.
