When we visited Europe in 2010 we went to the American Battle of the Bulge cemetery in Luxembourg. My son helped raise the flag over General Patton's grave (actually, he was the one working the rope). When I saw the thousands of headstones all arrayed in perfect lines, crosses and Stars of David, all having died in a relatively short battle so near the end of the European War I had to sit down. Then I looked at one of the crosses and it said, "Here rests in honored glory a comrade in arms known but to God", I just lost it. I bawled like a damn 3rd grader. May God bless everyone who served our nation in that conflict.
Touching.
